AlleyFest Annual Street Festival in Longview Texas
It’s one of the most exciting and fun festivals in the Texas Lake Country and it knows how to kick off the Summer in style.
Alley Art in partnership with the Longview Chamber of Commerce, features the best artisans and crafters that can be found. Each year produces new surprises with artists that produce quality work.
In 1979, a group of 39 artists joined together to present the first Alley Art Show held in Bank Alley of Downtown Longview.
The event has grown over the years to become AlleyFest – recognized as one of the best events in the State of Texas.
The festival site in Downtown Longview is surrounded by more than 100 booths of original fine arts and hand-crafted items.
At Alley Art you’ll finde true artisans from across the state and country. Paintings, pottery, sculpters, and other works of find art are offered.
The booths along the original Bank Alley open Friday evening with surrounding streets opening Saturday.
In addition to the fine art, Alley Art has arts and craft and vendors of all kinds. It is the perfect place to find that special item for yourself or for a gift.
Music Fest on Friday and Saturday night entertain crowds with 2 or 3 acts each night. Acclaimed groups headline each night with music of all kinds.
Every year, Music Fest brings together a different mix of styles and tastes. Music Fest presents headline acts Friday and Saturday evening featuring nationally known singers and bands.
Through the years, Music Fest has brought hundreds of musicians to eager audiences including Kenny Wayne Shephard, Dixie Chicks, Brian Black, Koko Taylor, Joe King Carrasco, Sean Costello, Elvin Bishop, Joe Ely, Katie Webster, Mem Shannon, Dallas Brass and Electric, Eric Burdon, Canned Heat, Leon Russell , The Fabulous Thunderbirds, John Mayall, Percy Sledge, .38 Special, Marshall Tucker Band, Eddie Money and many more.
Kids Fest on Saturday and Sunday is packed with activities, performances and exhibits, many educational and all fun.
Kid’s Fest (open Saturday and Sunday) makes AlleyFest an all-around family event. Children enjoy science exhibits, demonstrations and perfromances.
Hands-on crafts challenge and satisfy the creativity of children young and old.
Children line up for an opportunity to have volunteer artists apply colorful one-of-a-kind works of art. In addition to face-painting children enjoy clowns, magic acts and balloon artists.
KidsFest will again feature a variety of excitment including inflatable attractions – Air Borne Adventure – an inflatable rocket ship; an 18 ft slide, a Jupiter Jump Space Walk and more…
Alley Run on Saturday is a 1 mile, 5k and 10k loop course. A long time popular and challenging run.
